Julie and I first became friends when she accepted the calling to serve as my secretary in YW. (Implied in that statement is the truth that if she had refused the calling, I would have, of course, NEVER consented to be her friend!) We served together for about a year before the stinkin' primary stole her from me (snarl). She has been my walking buddy, my picnic-at-the-park companion, my swimming pal, and just over-all good comrade. We enjoyed sitting with Julie and her husband, Adam, last season at the BYU football games, and will miss them. They moved to northern Idaho last week, and already my walks to the park are lonely.
Julie is one of the few who took my recommendation to read Babywise seriously when she was expecting her first bambino last fall. When her baby, Sadie played by the rules and started sleeping through the night by the age of 2 months, Julie claimed her devotion to me was complete. Apparently, that devotion does not extend to living down the street from me forever. (Imagine scowly eyes).

So, farewell, little Newhouse family. We will miss you. And the evil, immature, bitter part of me has to put in that I hope you will enjoy watching BYU football games on TV for the rest of your life. ;>

Ruth, Thanks for the sweet posting, but you know how close Coeur d' Alene is to Spokane so we hope to see you soon.
I'm so sad she is gone too! What makes people think they can just move away when they graduate? hmph. ;-)
