This
is was a rather large snowman that was built in our backyard right after Christmas. Frosty stuck around for quite some time; January was a cold month, despite the many sunny days we had. The sun was just powerful enough to slowly melt the southern side of Frosty, while the cold air kept the remainder of Frosty intact. It was fun to look out my kitchen window and see Frosty get slowly eaten away on only one side of his body. Snowmen usually melt down until they are just a blob of snow, then nothing at all. This friendly fellow, however, looked like this:

I like it. And, I can't believe I never look at our backyard...I didn't even see the original masterpiece.
