Toothless Ruthless

A couple weeks ago, on a Saturday, I woke up so very excited for the home BYU football game that would take place that afternoon. We have a group of friends that we always sit with, so not only do we get to be spectators to an awesome game, but it turns into a great social experience, too. And as a bonus, for this particular game, Clint's brother, Brant, and his wife, Kayleen, were driving up from Nephi to attend the game with us. So, I was expecting to have a fabulous day. Until, I brushed my teeth that morning, and the crown on one of my teeth fell off (see exhibit A):

Call me vain, but I was not too keen on the idea of sitting in a stadium filled with 60,000 people for 4 hours with summer teeth (you know, some're there, some're not). Frantically, I called my dentist's cell phone. Voicemail. I waited a short while, then call again. Voicemail. When I was about to give up my hopes of attending the game at all, my dentist called me back. Understanding my situation, he agreed to meet me at the office, with his young kids in tow, and quickly put on another temporary crown. Thus, I was able to attend the BYU game after all, and revel in their victory.
