The dirt devil from *@#%!!!!!

We have some friends, named Amber and Jared Smithson:

For the past couple years, we have gone to their house for every BYU football away game. We've really got the sports party routine down now (who brings what, etc). Well, they have a little red toy vacuum that Tayson discovered when we first starting going over there (I think he was 2 years old). Tayson fell in love with this vacuum, which would have been fine, except for the fact that it is a most obnoxious toy. When you push it, the wheels make a very annoying and loud clicking sound. There is also a button to push so that it will make a standard vacuum noise too. None of this would have bothered us too badly except for the fact that Tayson always wanted to 'vacuum' right in front of the tv on which we were watching the game. We had to turn the volume up really loud to hear over the toy vacuum, as well as crane our necks to see around Tayson. We kept trying to find new hiding places for the vacuum, but Tayson would always find it, and the vacuum became a running joke amongst us.

So, here we are two years later having a birthday party for Tayson. And we make the mistake of inviting our friends, the Smithsons (well, we thought they were our friends, anyway!) And what do they bring as a gift, but a brand new red toy vacuum. It's a gift that keeps on giving, because we can now enjoy this treasure every single day, whenever Tayson gets the whim to vacuum. I'm not sure what we did to deserve this, but payback's coming....!
